Examination & Assessment System

Bal Bhawan School follows a comprehensive, learner-centric assessment system aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the CBSE curriculum. The examination framework is designed to evaluate not only academic achievement but also conceptual understanding, critical thinking, creativity, application of knowledge, and the overall holistic development of every learner.

Pre-Primary Wing ( Nursery - UKG ) :

In our foundational stage, assessment is a structured and scientific process driven by continuous observation. We systematically track each child’s learning competencies, cognitive milestones, and foundational skills. Instead of traditional testing, we focus on mapping individual learning curves with precision to ensure academic readiness and a strong conceptual start.

Primary Wing ( I -V) :

In the Primary Wing, our assessment framework is designed to measure conceptual depth rather than rote memorization. We implement progressive evaluations that focus heavily on application-based performance, encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, communication skills and creativity to build a solid academic foundation.

Middle School ( VI- VIII )

The Middle School assessment framework focuses on developing conceptual understanding, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration and the practical application of knowledge. Assessments are designed to encourage independent learning, inquiry, creativity and skill development.

Assessment includes:-

Periodic Assessments, Class Tests, Subject Enrichment Activities, Research-Based Projects ,Hands-on Learning Activities, Group Discussions ,Presentations, Half-YearlyExamination, Annual Examination.

Secondary & Senior Secondary Wing (Classes IX – XII):

Assessment at the Secondary and Senior Secondary levels follows the latest CBSE guidelines and competency-based learning approach. The focus is on conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, application of knowledge and examination readiness.
