Examination Pattern

The school follows a well-structured and comprehensive evaluation system in accordance with CBSE guidelines, aimed at assessing both academic achievement and overall learning development.

The assessment process focuses on conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, application of knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

A balanced combination of Periodic Assessments, Subject Enrichment Activities, practical examinations, projects, assignments, Half-Yearly Examinations, Pre-Board Examinations, and Annual Examinations forms an integral part of the academic framework.

Continuous assessment practices help monitor student progress while encouraging consistent learning and academic growth.

The examination system promotes discipline, self-management, regular study habits, and reflective learning, enabling students to build confidence, improve performance, and strive for academic excellence in a supportive learning environment.

Periodic Assessments (PA)

Conducted regularly with a blend of objective and subjective questions to evaluate conceptual understanding, application skills, and continuous progress.

Tentative Schedule: PA-1(A): 21 April 2026 – 27 April 2026 PA-1(B): 20 July 2026 – 25 July 2026

Subject Enrichment Activities

Include notebook submission, oral assessments, practical work, quizzes, presentations, laboratory activities, and project-based learning.

Portfolio Assessment

Portfolios include class assignments, worksheets, creative writing, art-integrated activities, project work, lab records, reading reflections, subject-based research tasks, photographs of activities, certificates of participation, self-assessment sheets, peer assessment records, and experiential learning activities. Portfolio assessment promotes creativity, critical thinking, self-reflection, and continuous academic growth while providing a holistic view of learner progress.

Multiple Assessment Activities

Include quizzes, oral tests, class discussions, presentations, observation-based activities, concept mapping, and experiential learning tasks to assess students’ understanding through varied methods.

Half-Yearly / Term-I Examinations

Comprehensive written examinations covering prescribed syllabus with competency-based, analytical, objective, and descriptive questions.

Pre-Board Examinations* (Classes X & XII)

Conducted in CBSE pattern to familiarize students with board examination format, time management, and examination strategies.

Year-end assessments designed to evaluate overall academic achievement and subject proficiency.

Tentative Schedule: Term-II / Annual Examinations: 15 February 2027 – 25 March 2027

Practical Examinations

Conducted for Science, Computer Science, and other applicable subjects to assess experimental, technical, and applied learning skills.

Tentative Schedule:

Practical examinations for Classes X & XII will be conducted prior to the Board Examinations as per CBSE guidelines.

Practical examinations for other classes will be conducted during the Term-I and Annual Examination periods.
